Rainwater Recovery System

1.1       Rainwater Recovery System Performance

The RainEx Rainwater Recovery System shall be designed to collect rainwater in (2) 30,000 gallon storage tank (supplied by others). Water will be re-pressurized from the collection tank to the points of use by (2) booster pumps.  The booster pumps will pump through bag filters and a 254nm UV for sanitization on the reclaim water skid. When not feeding the points of use, the pumps will recirculate to the storage tank to keep the water sanitized. Water for flushing fixtures will also be injected with dye.  A 55-gallon molded HDPE tank is included with a solenoid driven meter pump to inject dye into the liquid whenever the feed pumps are discharging into the distribution piping.  This Rainwater Recovery System shall be controlled via a common PLC driven control panel with touch screen operator interface.

The system shall be a RainEx 15000 series

3.0       DOCUMENTATION AND OPERATING MANUALS

The equipment supplier shall furnish the following with the system, in duplicate.  All documents and prints described below will be contained in the system operating manuals.

  • Plumbing process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID).
  • Electrical ladder diagrams for control panel, in accordance with accepted practices.
  • Complete bill of materials, including system sub components along with major components
  • Cross-reference between each print and the bill of materials, providing references to system components.
  • Operating and maintenance manuals containing descriptive information on the operation of the system, operating and troubleshooting information, spare parts, specification sheets and manufacturer’s cut sheets and service manuals.
  • Complete ladder and logic diagram (program) loaded into PLC

4.0       EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

The equipment shall be warrantied for defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of startup, or 18 months from the date of delivery, whichever occurs first.
